Reverend Albert C. Macklin, IV - Sr. Pastor
 

PASTOR ALBERT MACKLIN, IV is a native of California, the third son born to Reverend and Mrs. A.C. Macklin. Being reared in the church, the streets were simply not an option! Pastor Macklin received the Lord and was called to Ministry at the age of 25.

Completing his general education in Mountain View public schools, Pastor Albert graduated from San Jose Christian College in 2004, acquiring his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.

Following the demise of the late Superintendent Albert C. Macklin, known as “Dad Macklin”, Pastor Albert was appointed as Senior Pastor of New Sweet Home The Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in 2004. He has served as Sr. Executive and Pastor’s Administrative Assistant, Member of the Elder’s Council, Dean of Christian Education, Praise & Worship Leader, Minister of Music, and a skilled songwriter and musician. Pastor Albert is interactive Leader in the City of East Palo Alto, California, where he serves on several community Boards and management teams, offering services for the social, psychological and economic enhancement of the community.

Pastor Albert was appointed as Youth President of the NorCal Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, where his eldest brother, Bishop J.W. Macklin, serves as Prelate and Second Assistant to the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ. Most recently, Pastor Albert was appointed Evangelist President for the Bountiful Blessings District of Oakland, California.

Celebrating his latest Gospel CD, “I Believe God”, released during a live concert, Pastor Albert continues in his calling, enhancing the lives of others. He endeavors to be a “Servant”, called by God, loyal, dependable, and committed to a life of purity, integrity and excellence. He continues to impact lives throughout the country, sharing his testimony of strength and endurance, in spite of opposition. His voice is heard in churches, convention centers and campuses alike, as he shares his message of perseverance and faith in God.

Pastor Albert is the husband of Lady Evelyn Macklin, and the father of four children: Alec and Alissa, and twin boys, Addicus and Ayden. He is an anointed Gospel preacher, a singer, songwriter and musician. Pastor Albert has dedicated himself to a life of prayer and holiness, and lives by this principle: 

"My way is made, my need is met,
and the door is opened unto me…
I Believe God!"


Lady Evelyn Macklin, First Lady
 

First Lady Evelyn Macklin is a native of Chicago, Illinois.  She is the only child born to Gloria and Ronald Colwell and was saved by the age of 11. Growing up in a Christian home afforded her opportunities to interact with various ministries. She was a faithful member of the choir, Sunday School and Youth Fellowship.

Lady Macklin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  In May of 1998, Lady Macklin obtained a Masters of Health Administration at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Where her experience lead her to Hospital Administration and Consulting. 

With well over fifteen years of hospital finance experience, Lady Macklin works as a Revenue Cycle Director for Kaiser Permanente Foundational Hospitals - East Bay. While working for Kaiser, Lady Macklin has had the opportunity to participate in community work, serving as a mentor for high school students in the city of Richmond, CA. 

Combining experience from Church and work, Lady Macklin has developed a passion for the Youth.  She started off working in the Youth Ministry as a Sunday School Teacher and later went on to develop a Mentoring Ministry at St. John Church under Pastor and Lady Davis. Currently, she serves at New Sweet Home and her goal is to win this lost generation fueled by our passion for Jesus. We should not find ourselves focusing on the duration of life, but the donation to life. God intended that we should live, participate in and contribute to His plan.

Lady Evelyn is the companion and wife of Pastor Albert Macklin, IV and dedicated mother of four children; Alec, Alysa, Aden and Atticus.  Lady Macklin is a very loving and compassionate person who is unwavering in her support of family, holiness and sharing the love God has for us.

Lady Macklin has continued with her passion for ministry through commitment, faithfulness and dedication, supporting her husband and pastor. She serves as the Director for the Women's Department, NSH Wellness Program and the Youth Sunday School Teacher. “My ultimate goal for the New Sweet Home Temple of Deliverance COGIC, the community, and every life that I am allowed to touch; that we become Healthier, Happy and Healed through Jesus Christ.
